Hello all!
This “expected Next Week” news note is very different that usual, in keeping with the times….
Here is what we know at this time:
New comic distribution has been suspended. Diamond Comic Distributors cannot pack and ship out any new product, so there will be no new releases this coming week. Quite likely for some weeks ahead, please understand. This is not just for Wonderland, this is worldwide.
Our store has pre-ordered two months of product — all of the April and May new issues originally scheduled — so when the releases begin to flow you need have no worries that we will have everything that is available for you.
We are only certain that the shop must be “closed” as per the New York State PAUSE order. As much as we like ’em comics are not deemed “essential”. This means that there can be no in-store shopping, or employees working together in the store. (This would seem to make sense and is for our well being as well as yours.)
Orders that are paid for online can be safely shipped. We are happy to mail an order if you would like. (We would of course need your address for that.)
Hopefully, you can be encouraged to check out our eBay store for family games or kids’ activity kits, or we would certainly welcome orders for trade paperbacks (catch up on your reading!) or supplies (take care of your comics!) We can give you a PayPal invoice for any order.
Your business would certainly be appreciated (as it is always)! At this time it will greatly assist us to be able to keep the store viable until distribution of new comics renews.
Wayne (as owner, not as an employee) is willing to offer curbside pick up (just as the local Sherwin Williams, and Pet Supplies Plus are doing) for prepaid orders at specified times, but we are trying to receive legal assurance that this is allowed by the governor’s mandate.
We will certainly keep you updated, but let us know if you have any questions at any time. No one will be at the store on any regular basis to answer the phone, but we will be monitoring our email every day.
