Hey, everyone,
Sorry for the wait — new releases are here! Thanks for being so patient with us as we worked through today’s small snag. We can’t wait to see you!
Hey, everyone,
Sorry for the wait — new releases are here! Thanks for being so patient with us as we worked through today’s small snag. We can’t wait to see you!
Hello, everyone,
We’re pleased to announce that starting this Wednesday, June 3rd, Wonderland Comics will be open for in-store shopping on Wednesdays, 11am–6pm; Fridays, 11am–3pm; and Saturdays, 11am–3pm. Curbside pickup will remain available as an option as well during the same hours on all three days. (For pickups, please email us ahead of time to arrange payment options.)
It’s important to note that we are operating at reduced staff sizes to maintain adequate social distancing, we’ve adopted improved sanitation measures, and we’re doing all we can to make a safe shopping and work environment for everyone. This includes a thorough cleaning of the store, installing acrylic shields at the checkout counters, displaying helpful signs for traffic flow distancing, and and providing hand sanitizer for use upon entering or leaving the store.
We respectfully request that all customers:
We thank you all for your understanding and patience for the past two months, and for your support as we do our best to ensure the well being and safety of customers and staff. We welcome you to follow us on social media (Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram) for the latest updates or email us at any time to place a pickup order or ask a question. We’re always monitoring our mail box, and we’re happy to assist you with your ordering needs.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
– Wayne, Val, Chis, Alyssa, and Lilly
Hello again, everyone,
As we’re sure you’re aware of by now, the “New York State on PAUSE” executive order is now in effect. Beyond requiring us to close our doors to in-person shopping, it would seem that the order also applies to our curbside pick-up plan as well.
Instead, we’re working on the logistics of a “mail to you” system. We are offering to invoice you via PayPal and mail your automatic pulls, any specific new release requests, and any additional items you would like, directly to your doorstep. This includes things such as comic supplies, trade paperbacks, back issues, games, and science and activity kits. (If PayPal is NOT an option for you, please contact us so we can work out an alternate payment method.)
The outline at this point is that requested invoices would be sent out Tuesday evenings or Wednesday mornings, and shipping would take place on Wednesday afternoons. Any week that you will want an order shipped just let us know prior to Wednesday morning to allow us time to weigh, invoice, and pack your items.
Having your mailing address on file in advance would be helpful, so if you have an interest in this service, please feel free to email us now. Filing your address with us is not a commitment to receive a shipment, but it will expedite things if you opt for one.
The shipping cost would be nominal; some preliminary research shows that Priority shipping would be between $7.35 and $9.00 for 5 to 30 comics or 1 to 5 trade paperbacks.
To encourage you to give this a try — Wonderland will offer to cover the postage cost for any shipment through April 8th!
Despite everything, at the moment we are expecting deliveries to arrive as previously scheduled and are ordering new product accordingly. We encourage all of our customers to keep tabs on the week’s releases via our Friday email or on our website. PreviewsWorld also has a comprehensive list of the newest releases, along with images and blurbs, for easy browsing. Let us know if you see something you want saved.
Speaking of Previews, did you know that they offer a complete online catalog for future releases as well? It’s never to early to start looking for the hottest new books for the summer — again, if you see something you’d like to preorder or add to your list, just ask.
Now is also the perfect time to do any pruning to your pull list. Whether it’s because of the current world situation or because you’ve simply lost interest in a title (or gained it!), please let us know as soon as possible if there are changes you’d like to make regarding your pulls. We’re happy to work with you to get your list where you want it.
Once again, this is an evolving situation, and our schedule and plans may change accordingly. We will keep you informed of any updates both via email and through our website, Twitter, and Facebook.
Let us know how we can serve you, and thank you very much for your patronage and your patience. Take care, stay home, and be well!
Hey, guys!
We know you’re excited about Avengers: Endgame (and we are, too!), but we want to remind all of our fantastic customers to keep Wonderland Comics a spoiler-free zone for the next few weeks. It’s been a long, fun journey through the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and we want everyone to be able to enjoy the finale (for now…) at their own pace.
Thank you in advance for keeping your silence (as Thanos demands).
Hey, everyone,
Wonderland Comics will be CLOSED today, March 15th, due to weather. We plan to be open tomorrow (Thursday, March 16th) as per usual and will have new comics available then. Our apologies for any disappointment, and thanks for understanding!
Stay safe and warm in the meantime, and we’ll see you again soon (once all of us dig out from under the snow).
Hello again, everyone,
We just wanted to give you a quick update regarding our shipment of DC Comics Previews 2016. Originally, we were expecting this to be in-store on April 13th; we have since been informed that DC has had problems fulfilling orders for the print version and that a new release date has been set for April 20th.
That doesn’t give us a lot of time for ordering, unfortunately, so we once again urge you to take the time to look at the digital version and let us know about any list changes as soon as possible:
You won’t want to miss out on this exciting DC event, so don’t delay. Thanks for sticking with us and for getting your requests in promptly!
Hello, everyone,
By now you’ve surely heard about the DCU shakeup that’s happening in the next few months with the launch of DC Rebirth, a major event that will change everything you currently know about the N52. With the dramatic reveal over the weekend of major plot beats, creative teams, and bold new directions for the announced titles, it’s time to start thinking about your pull list and how the Rebirth will affect it.
Beginning in June, DC is shipping an assortment of Rebirth one-shots prior to their relaunched ongoing titles. These new titles will start with #1s, with the notable exception of Action Comics and Detective Comics. The easiest way to start see what will be different is to get an overview of the new lineup, and we have a perfect digital reference for you, as provided by DC itself:
(Print versions will be available at the store on April 20th, if you prefer. A few other sources of information that might help you make your decisions are this quick list of titles and release dates and the WonderCon Rebirth announcement roundup and summary.)
So what does this mean for you? As the changes are so extensive, we would like to know which titles you would like on your pull list going forward, even if that title might already be on your list.
For example:
If you are currently getting Batman, and you would like to also get the relaunched Batman title, please tell us that you’d like the new Batman SERIES. If you would also like the Batman Rebirth ONE-SHOT, please tell us that as well — they are two separate things and will be treated as such.
(It’s also absolutely fine to just want a Rebirth one-shot and not the corresponding ongoing series, or vice versa. However, we don’t want to assume or guess for you; the best way to ensure that we save only what you want is if we hear from you!)
If you would like to start saving a new title you hadn’t been getting before, please let us know which! Again, we need to know if you want the Rebirth one-shot, the ongoing series, or both.
If you are dropping a title starting with the Rebirth relaunch, please let us know that as well! We understand that not all of the changes will appeal to you, and if we know that you will not want a particular series after the shakeup, we can place our orders more accurately.
Thank you for reading through this! It’s a lot of information to digest, but we appreciate everyone for taking the time to let us know about their list changes. (Our email inbox is always open, so please feel free to email us once you’ve made your decisions, or call or stop in within the next couple of weeks and give us your changes in person.)
DC Rebirth is shaping up to be a thrilling time for comic fans, and we won’t want you to miss a single page of the action. We’re looking forward to hearing from you!
Just a reminder to all of our fantastic customers — we will be CLOSED on Monday, September 7th, for the Labor Day holiday. Normal hours will resume Tuesday, and new comics will be available on Wednesday as usual, so don’t worry!

As a reminder to all of our fantastic customers, we will be CLOSED tomorrow, Saturday, July 4th for the Independence Day holiday. Our normal hours will resume on Monday, July 6th, and new comics will be available on Wednesday as usual.
Have a fantastic holiday weekend, stay safe, and enjoy the fireworks & festivities!
