The more up-to-date your regular pull list is, the more accurately we can order and make sure that we have just what you want on release day.

Next, we want to remind everyone that we will be CLOSED Saturday for the Fourth of July holiday. New releases will be available on Wednesday, July 8th, as normal.

Finally, we would like to announce that starting next week, we will be expanding our hours again! After July 4th, we will be OPEN on Wednesdays, 11am–6pm; Thursdays, 11am–6pm; Fridays, 11am–6pm; and Saturdays, 10am–3pm; for both in-store shopping and curbside pickup. Thank you for your patience, support, and mask-wearing while we get settled into our new schedule!

Let’s Play “Catch-Up Week”!

It’s a small batch of new releases this week, but that will give everyone a chance to catch up on their reading over the holiday weekend. (Actually, it looks a little smaller than it should because someone [Val] forgot to take a pic of the all-ages section, which has an entire shelf of new releases all on its own. While you’re waiting to check out, be sure to sneak a peek at the wall in the lobby for even more fantastic books.) Otherwise, let’s see what’s on the racks to greet you this Wednesday…

And if that’s still not enough, this is the perfect opportunity to scope out some of the graphic novels you’ve been meaning to read, or to fill out some holes in your back issue collection. This week’s list of new releases is a little unusual — you may notice the conspicuous absence of comics from two major publishers! Worry not, however, as this is just a sign of small changes in the comic book industry. Marvel is slowly catching up on their schedule with a “trade week”, while DC, as you may have heard, is transitioning to a new distribution system and so is taking a week off to make sure stores like ours are comfortable with the new setup. This week is another “trade week” for Marvel as they get their release schedule caught up, meaning that there are no new single issues from them. Never fear, however, because we have plenty of other shiny new comics and books on the shelves to keep you occupied.
